Program Description:
USFQFounded in 1988, Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) was the first private liberal arts university established in Latin America, and is seen as the standard of excellence in Ecuadorian higher education. The university has 270 full-time and 500 part-time faculty, and employs about half of the Ph.D.s in Ecuador.

USFQ places great emphasis on its international programs and has the largest international exchange program in the region. With more than 100 agreements with universities throughout the world, including CCU, USFQ annually receives 900 international students on its four campuses.  As a designated exchange partner of Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), Coastal students' tuition fees will be based on CCU In-State Tuition rates.

Ecuador is a fantastic country and has every kind of possible adventure one can imagine - the Amazon basin, snow-capped volcanoes, amazing beaches, islands, wildlife in a mosiac of 15 incredibly rich cultures. USFQ’s beautiful main campus is located in the valley of Cumbaya, about 20 minutes from Quito - Ecuador's capital city. Home to 2.2 million people, Quito sits at 9,350 feet above sea level and offers visitors the opportunity to experience both the wonders of the Incan and colonial past as well as the promise of the future as one of the most vibrant business centers in modern-day South America. Quito is home to a breathtaking architectural heritage, especially its ornate churches and cathedrals, many of which feature gold-crusted altars and gorgeous works of art.
